On September 20, 2026, Venezuela's Tourism Minister Daniella Cabello and the UK's Chargé d'Affaires Colin Dick met to evaluate easing flight restrictions and reopening routes to Canaima National Park, Los Roques and Margarita Island, aiming to strengthen bilateral connectivity and promote inbound tourism. The meeting also coordinated Venezuelan institutional and trade participation at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, with meetings planned with airlines, major tour operators and tourism authorities. For European agencies —including those in Spain and Portugal, priority markets for Ikiratours— it is an early signal of the British market opening toward destination Venezuela. Ikiratours, Venezuela's 100% B2B DMC and inbound wholesaler, handles inbound operations for international agencies.

What it means for your agency

This is an early signal, not a sellable route yet: no frequencies have been announced. But the British market is a thermometer for Europe: when London moves, continental tour operators watch. For agencies in Spain and Portugal, the practical read is to start preparing the sales narrative for Canaima, Los Roques and Margarita with dossiers, photos and connection times ready, so that when connectivity materializes the offer is already built. London's WTM is also where deals get closed: it is worth tracking who attends and what announcements they return with.

What to do

Download the Canaima and Los Roques dossiers and have your sales material ready in English: British demand, when it arrives, will ask for immediate product. If your agency serves the European market, talk to our sales team about 2027 windows.
