Living culture
Territory and community.
There are no chain hotels or motor vehicles. The pace is island-style: breakfast at the guesthouse, boat to the cay, nap under an umbrella and lobster or fresh fish for dinner. Agencies sell authentic Caribbean experience, not mass-resort tourism.
The Roque community has lived with tourism for decades. Respecting park rules (waste, anchors, marine wildlife) is part of the responsible sales narrative Ikira shares with B2B partners.
Nature and wildlife
Sandbanks and mangroves are habitat for migratory birds. Catch-and-release sport fishing and regulated diving protect iconic bonefish and permit populations.
Recommend reef-safe sunscreen, no touching coral and no feeding marine wildlife. Ikira includes these guidelines in the operational briefing for agencies.
