On September 7, 2026, Wingo resumed direct flights between Caracas and Medellín with three weekly frequencies —Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays— and fares from USD 119 one-way and USD 205 round-trip, with more than 14,000 seats available for the rest of the year. The airline, which has operated the route since January 2024, projects 110,000 passengers on its Venezuela–Colombia routes during 2026 and now operates three active routes in the country: Caracas–Bogotá (daily), Valencia–Bogotá (three weekly) and Caracas–Medellín. For agencies, it is additional low-cost capacity for regional products and Colombia–Venezuela combinations. Ikiratours, Venezuela's 100% B2B DMC and inbound wholesaler, handles inbound operations.

What it means for your agency

Low cost on the Caracas–Medellín route changes the traveler profile you can sell to: with fares from USD 119, the Colombia–Venezuela combination stops being a premium product and enters the getaway and frequent-traveler segment. Medellín is also a strong urban destination in its own right (gastronomy, shopping, events), enabling city + beach builds: Medellín + Morrocoy or Medellín + Margarita in one week. For Colombian agencies, it is the excuse to reactivate Venezuela sales with an entry price that sells itself.

What to do

Design the 7-day Medellín + Venezuelan beach product using the Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday frequencies as itinerary anchors. Quote Morrocoy or Margarita lodging on the B2B portal and validate internal transfers with operations.
