Lecheria is a coastal city in Anzoátegui state, part of the Barcelona and Puerto La Cruz metropolitan area. Known for its marina, waterfront promenade, and first-class tourism and residential offer, it is one of the gateways to eastern Venezuela and Mochima National Park. The Costas de Lechería boardwalk runs along the bay with restaurants, bars, squares, and sea views. Lecheria marina is one of the most important in the country and a departure point for sailing, boat trips, and excursions to the beaches and islands of Mochima Park (Isla de Plata, Puerto La Cruz beaches, etc.). The city combines modern urban life with quick access to nature and beaches. Barcelona and Puerto La Cruz are minutes away, offering more beaches, colonial history, and the ferry terminal to Margarita Island. The climate is warm and humid year-round. Eastern cuisine stands out for seafood, fresh fish, stuffed arepas, and international dining along the boardwalk.
